Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using this site. By using the site you will be bound by these terms and conditions, which will continue to apply every time you use the site.

Terms and conditions

The WeMeReC web site is a Medicines Information site, managed by Cardiff & Vale University Health Board to provide information to healthcare professionals on safe and effective use of medicines. To find out more click here. These terms and conditions apply to all users of the service. By registering for and/or using this service you are agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions.

The information provided by WeMeReC is intended to support health care decisions. WeMeReC will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the content on the site is correct and up to date.

WeMeReC is intended as an information source for healthcare professionals. It is not the function of WeMeReC to substitute for the role of the clinician, or to enable members of the public themselves to take medical procedures or actions, but to support the clinician in enabling individuals’ access to know-how and knowledge and understanding. The know-how and knowledge available on the WeMeReC site needs to be applied by the clinician to make a diagnosis and/or to propose treatment.

The information provided by WeMeReC is intended to support you making health care decisions, but not to make the decisions for you. Responsibility for applying the knowledge and know-how rests entirely with the healthcare professional. WeMeReC will encourage all its content providers to ensure that their content on the site is correct and up to date.

Some WeMeReC pages provide links to other Internet sites for the convenience of users. WeMeReC makes best efforts to ensure that it links only to sites that are reputable providers of evidence-based health care information in the view of the site editors. However, WeMeReC is not responsible for the availability or contents of these external sites. If you decide to access linked third party web sites, then this is entirely at your own risk and WeMeReC is not responsible what-so –ever, for any loss, damage or expense that might be caused by or linked to any action or lack of action, that a user might have as a result of using the sites found though WeMeReC.

Users are welcome to link to WeMeReC. Links to the site are also subject to the material being reproduced accurately and not being used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context, and that the source (including URL) must be clearly and prominently acknowledged.

The WeMeReC site does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's ID, IP address and session info such as the duration of the visit, the type of browser used and pages accessed. This is recognised by the Web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics, which Cardiff & Vale University Health Board uses to evaluate use of the site.
